Our club supports rescue efforts of pure-bred Flat-Coated Retrievers. MAFCRC has asked regional shelters to contact us when they get a dog that resembles a Flat-Coated Retriever. Some of these dogs appear to be pure bred flat coated retrievers and others are clearly a mix of several breeds. In every case, the dog needs a permanent or foster home in order to avoid euthanasia.
Please try to do your part:
- Visit local shelters with your dogs so they see what a Flat-Coat really looks like
- Microchip your dogs
- Breeders-Know where your pups are
- Make a Donation

If you can foster, adopt a dog, or if you would like to be notified about future rescue opportunities, please contact our national club, the Flat Coated Retriever Society of America.
